Educational Impact Study

As a rising eighth grader my mom told me I had two choices for summer vacation. Either attend summer educational programs or pour concrete. Sleeping in and hanging out was not an option. Being me, I asked why do I have to go when no one else has to and why is going to college so important anyway? Her response, "you have three months to find out why and I want a paper on it." Yes, many questions have resulted in me writing papers; I once had to do one on what I was going to get out of junior high. Anyway, I turned it into a research study.

What did I find out? While, that our cultural values do influence our views on education, not everyone has the answers. And when I was finished, I had more questions than answers.

What I did do that summer. . . I had the time of my life and met some amazing people!
