First, it isn't a home or school environment like we are used to being in. You stay in a dorm room with one other person. Your floor has RA's who help you. And your teachers are everyone. Having an experience like this gave me a look into what college will be like. Yes, there are lots of activities. Ever want to try fencing? You can do it here!
Two, you can meet people from all over the world. You can learn about different cultures and how their life is similar/different that our own. Ever thought about what it would be like to meet someone from Russia or France? You just might here!
And lastly, you can explore some different career choices and areas you are unfamiliar with. Choosing your college courses knowing you have not limited yourself on all the possibilities is a valuable tool for your tool box. Why limit yourself? You won't be limited here!
